It is important to know: A simulation allows you to test ideas safely, but is no substitute for a real experiment, a walk in nature, or a conversation with an adult. It gives the child a basis for questions and further exploration in the real world.

Questions about science games for children

Short answers before choosing an activity

Do you need prior knowledge of science?

Not for most activities. Children can begin with simple recognition, placement, and activation tasks. Electricity and digital-logic activities are better suited after basic familiarity and the ability to read the instructions.

Are all the activities suitable for all ages?

No. Some of the tasks are visual and simple, and others require reading, planning and understanding a system. Choose according to the ability and interest of the child and not just according to age.

Does simulation replace a real experiment?

No. It allows you to test connections and ideas safely, but it is recommended to connect what we learn to real experience, observation and conversation with an adult.

Do the electricity activities use real electricity?

No. The child builds and operates circuits in a simulation on the screen. No connection to components or real electrical voltage.

Do you need to know how to read English?

Many visual activities can be started after a short demonstration. Activities with information, questions or complex components require reading or accompanying by an adult.

How do you choose a first subject?

Start with an existing curiosity: animals, space, maps, water, colors or machines. Success in a familiar subject makes it easier to move to an adjacent track.

What is the role of the parent?

At the beginning of a new topic, you should explain the purpose and ask what the child thinks will happen. Then you can let him try it himself and talk about the result together.
