Short answers before choosing an activity
Do you need to know music?
No. You can start by identifying an instrument, comparing sounds and repeating a melody. Reading notes and playing by five are suitable for a more advanced stage.
Does each activity have a correct answer?
No. Identifying a note, instrument or rhythm has a clear goal. In drawing, composition and models, the child gets more room to choose and create.
Does drawing on a screen replace drawing by hand?
No. This is another tool that allows you to try colors and digital tools. Paper, color, material and hand movement develop a different and important experience.
Do you need a piano at home?
No. The piano activities use an on-screen keyboard. A real tool can extend the experience, but is not required to run the activity.
Should sound be activated?
In music activities, melody, musical instruments and auditory memory the voice is a central part. In the drawing and model activities, you can also work without sound.
Which activity is suitable for the beginning?
A child who likes sounds can start with a musical instrument or a melody. For a child who likes pictures, you can start with online drawing or free drawing.
What do you do if the child repeatedly creates in the same tool?
It can be allowed to deepen. Then they offer only a small change: a new color, another rhythm, another brush or another model.
Are the activities suitable for all ages?
Not as much. Simple recognition and drawing are accessible earlier, while reading notes, rhythm and composition require more understanding and experience.
Is it more convenient to work with a mouse or a tablet?
Drawing and filling squares is convenient with touch and with the mouse. More precise activities may feel different on each device, so you should try and choose what is comfortable for the child.
How can a parent help without dictating the outcome?
You can ask what the child wanted to create, what sound or color he chose and what would be important next time, without drawing or playing in his place.
